 NOTICE REGARDING THE BANKRUPTCY OF TEMAL OY

 Commencement of bankruptcy proceedings and contact details for the bankruptcy estate

 Temal Oy (business ID 0960919-7, hereinafter also referred to as the ”Company”) was declared bankrupt on 6 August 2026 by a decision of the Helsinki District Court. Attorney-at-law Heikki Vesa from Krogerus Attorneys Ltd has been appointed as the estate administrator.

Product returns and complaints

 Due to the bankruptcy, we are unfortunately no longer able to accept product returns or complaints. The debtor company’s liability for defects and warranties does not bind the bankruptcy estate. Any damage resulting from a product defect constitutes a bankruptcy claim; instructions on how to report this are provided below. If you have purchased goods from one of our retailers, you may complain about the defect to the seller of the goods.

Outstanding orders, deliveries and other agreements

The bankruptcy estate is reviewing the Company’s outstanding orders and deliveries, as well as other contracts, and is endeavouring to gain an understanding of the situation as quickly as possible. Please send any enquiries regarding outstanding orders, deliveries and other agreements by email to insolvenssi@krogerus.com. Due to the high volume of enquiries, there may be a delay in responding to them.

Furthermore, we ask that you provide details of all valid contracts you have entered into with the Company and enquire in writing as to whether the bankruptcy estate will commit to the contract in question. For the sake of clarity, it should be noted that, pursuant to Section 8 of Chapter 3 of the Bankruptcy Act, if the debtor has not fulfilled a contract to which they are a party at the time of the commencement of bankruptcy proceedings, the other party must request a statement as to whether the bankruptcy estate will commit to the contract. If the bankruptcy estate notifies within a reasonable time that it will commit to the contract and provides acceptable security for the performance of the contract, the contract may not be rescinded.

Request to report claims against Temal Oy to the bankruptcy administration

 A bankruptcy claim refers to a claim against the debtor where the debtor’s commitment or other legal basis arose before the commencement of bankruptcy proceedings. Bankruptcy claims also include secured claims and claims where the basis or amount is conditional, disputed or otherwise unclear. In the case of a continuing debt relationship, the part of the claim relating to the period prior to the commencement of bankruptcy is considered a bankruptcy claim.

We kindly request that you notify the bankruptcy estate in writing of any claims you may have against the Company for the purpose of compiling the estate inventory. The claim notification must include the following information:

1. the principal amount of the claim and any interest calculated up to 6 August 2026;
2. the basis of the claim, sufficiently specified;
3. any security for the claim; and
4. the creditor’s name and contact details.

Progress of the bankruptcy proceedings

 It is not yet possible at this stage to provide an estimate of the duration of the bankruptcy proceedings or the distribution shares that may be paid to creditors. Under the Bankruptcy Act, the estate administrator must draw up an estate inventory of the Company’s assets and liabilities, as well as a debtor description of the operations of the Company preceding the bankruptcy, in principle within two months of the commencement of the bankruptcy proceedings, i.e. by 6 October 2026.

Once the estate inventory and debtor description have been completed, the estate administrator will assess whether the bankruptcy proceedings should continue or whether they should lapse due to a lack of assets. Further information on the continuation of the bankruptcy proceedings will be available in late autumn 2026 at the earliest.
